Why won't my Map Load (or Why is my Location Wrong)?

To display a map of your ‘Hood, InZhood needs your GPS location. Without it, no map can be selected. InZhood uses sophisticated methods to determine your GPS location based on satellite positioning. Any of the following can adversely affect GPS location.

  • Low charged battery
  • Mobile phone inside or under obstructing objects such as buildings, trees or vehicles
  • Not initialized GPS or not enabled
Often the solution is to move to an open, outside area and turn off the mobile device. Start the mobile device and wave it in a figure 8 motion for 2-3 minutes, Wave it both as parallel and perpendicular to the ground, this is for the built in antenna to receive satellite signals.
